ABOUT US

We’re passionate about working with the finest Australian hardwoods to deliver custom designs with expert craftsmanship.

Bago Woodworks are a unique furniture and architectural woodworking company located in Wauchope, 20 minutes out of Port Macquarie, on the mid north coast of NSW. As our client, you’ll always be listened to from design through to completion.

A collaborative relationship ensures you’re satisfied with the end result of your custom timber project, and as a local small business, customer satisfaction is important to us. We extend our collaborative approach to the architects, designers and builders that we work with, which has resulted in some incredible projects delivered.

Jarrod Butlin takes great pride and pleasure in working side by side with his team, comprised of very hard-working detail-oriented individuals, designers, and woodworking specialists, all of whom are skilled makers. Both Jarrod and manager Ewald spend time on the tools in the workshop alongside the team.

Staff development and well-being are important to the business, with our leading hands and seniors committing time and effort to the education and development of talented apprentices. A flexible working environment allows all team members the opportunity to thrive within a space that best suits their strengths.

The work environment created means that our processes are highly efficient, and we can provide our best work possible to every customer. Passion for Australian timber, design and sustainability ties the team together and can be seen in the delivery of every project, no matter the scale.

Bago Woodworks

Our commitment to sustainability.

It all begins with our timber. Since the start, Bago Woodworks has chosen to work with local hardwood timbers. A lot of this timber is the same timber that was logged long ago when Wauchope was a thriving timber mill industry.

In staying true to our local timber heritage, through research, development, and identification, we use only reclaimed, salvaged, FSC certified, PEFC certified and local sustainable timber to craft our handmade furniture, doors, windows, and joinery.

We manufacture our designs on-site from our Wauchope workshop, which we now operate almost completely off-grid, utilising solar batteries, and solar kilns. We aim to always source recycled and reclaimed timber from the local area. We also accept donated logs and timber from demolitions.

Osmo Timber Oils

All the goodness of nature. Good for both humans and wood. Osmo finishes are based on natural oils and waxes. The oil penetrates into the wood surface, protecting the wood from deep within. The waxes form an elastic, micro porous surface that protects the wood from moisture and abrasion. The wood remains naturally beautiful, protected and durable.
